Find out how a full redesign and website migration helped SevenRooms position themselves as the future of hospitality.
SevenRoom is a restaurant technology company that provides a cloud-based platform designed to help hospitality businesses such as restaurants and hotels manage reservations, guest experiences, and marketing operations. From local bars to international hospitality groups, business operators utilize SevenRooms’ end-to-end, data-driven guest experience platform to connect with guests like never before.
After securing their most recent funding in March of 2023, SevenRooms set out on a bold mission to solidify themselves as the future of hospitality. To accomplish this, they would need unique, modern, and enterprise-grade branding that aligned with the quality of their products. This meant adopting a revamped website that looked and performed the way an industry-leading website should.
When SevenRooms approached us, there were a few key improvements the website needed:
As alluded to previously, SevenRooms was undergoing a significant rebrand. The website lacked the strong, consistent, and unmistakable identity that the executive team envisioned for the company's future.
Part of our responsibility was crafting the new visual identity and bringing it to life through the website. Webstacks’ design discovery process guided our team in outlining a strategic approach to color palettes, imagery, and messaging.
Ultimately, we struck a modern, sleek, user-obsessed aesthetic that no one else in the SaaS hospitality space had. The website embraced motion and interactive elements that would give each user an immersive and unforgettable experience.
Another key driver for the website redesign was a desire to increase conversions. In their previous setup, the website was plagued with disjointed calls to action and conversion points. With more strategic user journeys and a revamped site architecture, the website could create more intimate experiences and catch users where they are most likely to convert.
All in all, the upgraded UX was to be conversion-focused and foster additional functionality such as extensive A/B testing and personalization. With a modular design approach, components could easily be swapped, which would allow for rapid iteration and an exponentially faster go-to-market strategy.
Moreover, the updated design enhances accessibility and localization, reflecting the customer-first philosophy integral to the SevenRooms brand. Regardless of their abilities or geographic location, every user can enjoy a pleasant experience.
SevenRooms’ marketing team had growing frustrations with their CMS. As the website expanded, WordPress showed signs of performance degradation. More pages, visitors, and plugins lead to slower loading speeds and poorer user experiences - especially on mobile devices. If the team were to stay on track for their high-growth trajectory, they would need a sound technical foundation that prioritized scalability and flexibility.
First, we gathered a clear understanding of the website’s existing limitations and the ambitions of SevenRooms as a business. Then, we recommended a composable tech stack that would enable their web team to effectively and efficiently expand its operations long into the future.
